Kathy Dobson
Kathy Dobson was a standout athlete on the Girls' Varsity Basketball team at Rhinebeck High School, leaving an indelible mark on the school's sports history.
As a key member of the celebrated 1998-1999 team, Kathy was part of a squad known as "the team to see and the team to beat." That season, the team achieved an impressive 18-5 record, went undefeated on their home court, and captured both the Division Championship and the Section II Championship—making them the first girls' team in school history to earn the sectional title.
Kathy's personal contribution was historic. In an away game against Webutuck, she secured her 1,000th career rebound, setting an overall school record for rebounds achieved over four seasons. This remarkable accomplishment underscores her dominance on the court, tenacity, and consistent performance throughout her high school career.
Her legacy is that of a record-setting player and a vital member of one of Rhinebeck High School's most successful and pioneering girls' basketball teams.
