Alanna Woody '06
Alanna Woody left an enduring legacy on Rhinebeck High School’s basketball program. A member of the varsity team since seventh grade, Woody grew into one of the Hawks’ most reliable and impactful players. Her leadership, skill, and dedication culminated in a historic achievement during her senior year, when she scored her 1,000th career point, becoming just the third girl in school history to reach that milestone.
Her accomplishment placed her alongside Rhinebeck standouts Adrienne Quimby and Marirose Serkowski on the program’s prestigious list of all-time scorers. Woody’s 1,000th point came in a memorable fashion—hitting a shot off the glass with under five minutes left in the second quarter of a game that sealed her place in Rhinebeck history.
Despite her personal success, Woody always emphasized the team’s achievements over individual milestones, reflecting her unselfish, team-first mentality. Her performance, leadership, and consistency made her a cornerstone of Rhinebeck basketball throughout her career, and her name now stands proudly among the program’s all-time greats.
